Christchurch is still long way from recovering from the earthquake that devastated the city in 2011. There are whole blocks given over to car parking but not being redeveloped as yet. The rest looks like a building site.
However the artwork on the buildings shows a level of creativity flourishing despite, or maybe because of adversity.

Some of the art is spectacular, this is on the side of a shop.
This college is still abandoned with absolutely no sign of anything happening.
Sometimes the art is used to disguise a broken building.
Cathedral Square is one of the areas that has been rejuvenated especially the tram stop, which appears to be a tourist attraction.
