Crossing and Weather

Wellington was wet and windy, more later, but it started us worrying about the crossing.  In the end the Cook Strait was OK but it was pouring down at either end.  Coming into Picton among the islands and fjords was interesting and provided some atmospheric shots.  The drive from Picton to Nelson was horrendous.  We were advised to stay away from the scenic route as the weather made it dangerous, the route we took was scary enough.

At the beginning of the drive it looked promising with some sun breaking out near the Stoneleigh Vineyard in Marlborough but hopes were dashed.
